Brenda Allen- Certified Birth, VBAC Link, & Bereavement Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator
Birth Strong Doula Services
Founder of BCUC
Hello! My name is Brenda. I am a Birth & Bereavement Doula. I am a Tennessee native, originally from Smithville. However, Livingston and Cookeville have now been my home for 18 years. I am a wife to a wonderful husband, and a mother to 2 beautiful little girls. When I am not assisting women prenatally, in labor or in the initial postpartum period, I am spending time with my family, usually this includes hiking in the many wonderful state parks Tennessee has to offer.
My interest in birth started to blossom at the age of 5, when my mother had her first home birth. In that atmosphere I felt at home with the Midwives and Doulas. That feeling only got stronger with my mother's next 2 home births. At age 21, I had my first daughter, unmedicated, in a hospital with an amazing Doula. Her willingness to want to help me however she could, more seriously pushed me towards my goal to become a Doula myself. So in 2018, I started working as a Doula, and then certified sometime later. At age 23, I had my second daughter, at home with the assistance of a home birth Midwife. It was a wonderful experience. And in 2023, I met another goal of becoming a Certified Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. In 2024, I also received my Childbirth Education Certification through Birth Beautifully. In 2025 I became the first Doula in the Cookeville area to receive her VBAC certification. Now, I am truly living out my dream, to be able to support women during such an important time in their life. I am so thankful every day for this wonderful career. I have supported women through hospital births of all kinds, home births, water births and everything in between.

Danielle Hoose- Certified Birth Doula
Let's Doula This
Co-Founder of BCUC
My name is Danielle and I’m a birth doula. I am a wife to a wonderful husband and and mother to 3 beautiful boys. When I’m not doing my doula work I am spending time with my family and trying to keep up with 3 little boys!
My certification comes from Blissful Birthing . I am trained in birth room conflict, baby loss, and how to use rebozos during pregnancy and childbirth. I also have training in childbirth and breastfeeding. Throughout all of my pregnancy’s I’ve always wanted to advocate for myself on what I did and didn’t want and also how I wanted my birth to go. I’ve always wanted an unmedicated natural birth. However, my first two births (2017 and 2019) I wound up getting the epidural at 7cm and 8cm. I didn’t succeed at an all natural unmedicated birth until my most recent baby (2023). It was my shortest, hardest, most intense birth. But it was my happiest and most empowered birth as I did it all natural like I always wanted. It was in that moment that I knew my calling was to be a doula and likewise empower women to advocate for themselves and know that they can achieve the birth that they have always wanted. I want to strengthen women and educate them on childbirth. We can do hard things and I’ve got your back when you need me! Let’s doula this!

Emily Leupold - Birth & Postpartum Doula
Dura Mother Massage & Birth
Hi there! My name is Emily, and I am a Christian wife and mother of two amazing boys named Gideon and Simon. I have been involved in the birth world for the past eight years, although my involvement has been intermittent. In 2016, I trained as a doula and attended a few births, but unfortunately, with my job and then my first baby on the way, I had to put my doula work on hold. In 2022, I completed my Associates in Therapeutic Massage, with a specific focus on Women's Health. Since then, I have become a certified prenatal and postpartum therapist. I am thrilled to be able to bring together my two passions to support women throughout their motherhood journey. As a doula and massage therapist, I am committed to accompanying my clients through every step of their journey - from trying to conceive to postpartum. My goal is to provide support and care to each of my clients, making every stage of motherhood more enjoyable. I believe that every woman deserves care and respect during this sacred time, and a supported and care-filled pregnancy should not be a luxury. Motherhood is an exciting, fulfilling, and challenging experience for every woman, and I consider it an honor to witness and be a part of this journey.

Hannah Sevenich - Certified Birth Doula
Golden Hour Doula Services
Hi! I’m Hannah. Owner of and lead doula of Golden Hour Doula Services. I am a Tennessee native, currently living in Wilson Co. with my wonderful husband and my son. I have always been in love with all things pregnancy and birth related as long as I can remember. I knew I wanted to be apart of helping and supporting women in a time in their life where they need it most, but I didn't know what that looked like for me. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my son that the answer became clear to me. Having a doula assisted pregnancy and birth myself showed me a new way of supporting women. My wonderful doula was supportive, knowledgeable, available and kind. This pushed me to want to be that for other women at such a vulnerable time in their lives. I went on to certify through Blissfull Birthing in 2025. My Goal is to be that comfort, support and advocate for you. To help you work towards and achieve the birth that you see for yourself."

Destiny Macri -Certified Birth Doula
Mama Macri Doula Services
Hello!. My name is Destiny Macri, I am a certified birth doula. I live in Clarkrange TN and have lived there my whole life. I have an amazing husband and a wonderful little boy.
The reason I have decided to become a doula is to help advocate for mothers. Also help you to have an amazing birth experience possible.
What inspired my passion to become a birth doula is my own personal birth experience.
I had my son in 2024. I had to be induced, but I was determined to have him naturally. With the help of my husband, numerous nurses, my midwife, and everyone else in the room screaming and cheering me on I did it!.
I knew then that I wanted to be there to help support someone else in their journey weither it be with an epidural, naturally, or a c- section.
I also am working into becoming a lacation specialist, so with my training and my own breastfeeding experience, I will be able to help mothers accomplish breastfeeding. I am looking forward to working with you all, and helping you all achieve a memorable and most amazing birth possible
